Capability boundaries

  • Supports MP4, MKV, MOV, WebM, GIF, and common audio outputs. Actual codecs depend on browser WebCodecs support.
  • Supports input files around 4GB. Chromium browsers can use disk streaming to reduce memory pressure for large exports.
  • MKV to MP4, MP4 mov_text/tx3g soft subtitles, MKV S_TEXT/UTF8 soft subtitles, GIF export, speed changes, looping, logo overlay, queue stitching, and picture in picture run locally in the browser.
  • Complex multi-input filters, hard subtitle burning, denoising, reverse playback, and other server transcoding features are not migrated.
